Competitions involving the whole village community include growing the tallest sunflower, the best hanging basket and the best kept front garden. We organise visits to local gardens, nurseries and plant specialists, as well as travelling further afield to visit gardens in neighbouring counties. The year is rounded off by our Club Christmas Dinner which takes place at a local venue.
Throughout the year the committee endeavours to share information about open gardens, garden centres, interesting places to visit as well as sharing gardening tips and ideas.
If you have a new garden and don’t know what to plant, or an old garden and don’t know how to prune, or you would like to meet people with a similar interest in gardening, then the Gardening Club could be just what you are looking for.
Garden Club membership has a one off Membership Fee of £10 persons wishing to join should contact the secretary.
