Minutes of the meeting of Sudbrooke parish council held at 7.30pm on Thursday 4th June 2026 in the Bramham lounge, Sudbrooke village hall.

To note apologies and reasons given.

To receive any declarations of interest in accordance with the localism Act 2011 and consider any
requests for dispensation in relating to disposable pecuniary interests of the other interests as
outlined in the council's code of conduct

To receive the notes of the council meeting held on the 07th of May 2026 and agree for them to be
signed as a true record.
RESOLVED unanimously to approve the minutes from the 07th of May 2026 and agree for them to be

To receive any reports from outside bodies, including the Police, District and County Councillors (if any) and agreed actions as required.
District Councillor was. It in attendance. County Councillor Jane Smith, explained and supported th
PC frustrations on the lack of intervention on safety of the A158 following two large accidents the
weekend prior to the meeting. The PC have no power to initiate any action but will be happy to
support residents with there concerned. A large discussion took place regarding speed radars which
the PC have the power to implement.

To approve the cost of £600 contribution towards a Defibrillator for the Village Hall.
RESOLVED unanimously to approve the the contribution of £600 from WLDC to install a defibrillator

To discuss and resolve the cost of felling a dangerous tree.
RESOLVED unanimously;say to approve the removal of the split tree for the cost of up to £1000

The Clerk sent correspondence to the neighboroughing properties, awaiting responses.

Stuart Curtis Field, & Dog friendly areas.
Cllr P Fido and Cllr M Alford to meet with contractor Ian Moore to discuss a plan and a quote to make
progress on the area.

Cllr P Heath will chase the scouts on there progress, football goals are due to be installed in the
coming weeks.

Fencing Quote (Village Hall)
Cllr M Alford to obtain a component list of items required, to enable the PC to repair the broken fence at the village hall.

editing package to produce the Sudbrooke`News.

RESOLVED unanimously to approve the purchase of a new notice board for the cost of up to £1000,

To discuss and approve any necessary action regarding the village map board.
RESOLVED unanimously due to the notice board rotting and the village map being outdated, it would be
taken down and not replaced at this time
